From the Studio: November | Monthly Artist Studio Recap

November was… a lot. Not dramatic, just the kind of slow chaos where everything technically gets done, but you’re also quietly questioning all your life choices while covered in paper dust and yarn.

Wins (yay I survived!)

  • I kept the studio running on low power mode. Some days that meant real progress. Other days it meant “I printed a thing and did not fall over,” which still counts.
  • Market prep did not completely implode. Stickers and notebooks are in a decent spot for winter events, which is honestly shocking given my energy level.
  • I did some actual planning for future collections instead of only reacting to whatever season is screaming at me. It was messy, but it existed, which is progress.

Losses (aka “Not My Best Work”)

  • My body and brain were on shuffle mode. A lot of ideas stayed in the iPad because the spoons simply did not exist.
  • Admin tasks formed a small, polite avalanche. Emails, listings, and general “business owner” things are still behind the art, which feels on brand but also mildly cursed.
  • Experiments and “fun” projects mostly got bumped so I could focus on the basics. Very responsible. Very boring.

Overall vibe

November felt like maintenance mode: not exciting, not glamorous, but still moving. Slow progress is still progress, even if it comes with eye bags and a permanent “I need a nap” expression.

If you are here reading this, thanks for hanging out in the chaos with me. This tiny studio keeps going because people like you keep showing up, even when I am running on fumes and caffeine.

See you in the next From the Studio, assuming I have not been buried under a pile of stickers and crochet by then.
