Cozy quest and botany mood board for 2026 Upper Room Prints collections

2026 Small Business Roadmap: A Cozy, Balanced Plan | Upper Room Prints

2026 Roadmap: Cozy Quests, Botany Vibes, and a More Balanced Year

If you’ve been here for a while, you know I’m not a “new year, new me” person.

I’m more of a “new year, same me, but with a clearer plan and fewer surprise stress spirals” person.

My word for 2026 is Balance. Not in a hustle-culture way. In a “I want this business to fit my life” way.

2026 planning flat lay for Upper Room Prints small business roadmap

The vibe for 2026

This year’s theme is Botany + Cozy Quests.

That means cottagecore energy, plant-y details, and a little “video game achievement unlocked” feeling sprinkled in. Not loud. Not shiny. Just enough to make it fun.

And as always, it’s character-led. The characters are basically my way of keeping things warm, honest, and a little funny without having to make everything a big dramatic announcement.

What’s staying the same

A few things are still the backbone of Upper Room Prints:

  • Small-batch releases
  • Cozy, practical products that feel personal
  • Sensory-considerate choices where I can make them
  • Markets and art shows being the main stage

I’m not trying to reinvent everything. I’m trying to make the parts that already work feel smoother.

The 2026 release plan (simple version)

Here’s the broad roadmap so you know what’s coming and when.

  • Spring collection: March 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET
  • Pride/Summer collection: May 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET
  • Autumn collection: August 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET
  • Winter collection: November 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET

I’m keeping launches consistent on purpose. It helps you plan, and it helps me stay out of last-minute chaos.

What I’m focusing on behind the scenes

Most of my 2026 plan is less about “more” and more about “better.”

I’m focusing on:

  • Building in real buffer time so I’m not finishing everything at the last second
  • Keeping my work in batches (creative days are creative, admin days are admin)
  • Making sure prep is done early enough that I can rest before events and launches

Basically, I’m trying to make the business feel more like a steady rhythm and less like a series of sprints.

A few things I’m excited about

Without turning this into a full spoiler list, here are a few things I’m genuinely looking forward to this year:

  • Spring is shaping up to feel like fresh air, tiny quests, and gentle progress
  • Pride this year is going to be quiet, comfy, very Wilbur, with lots of soft colors and cozy affirmations
  • Autumn is going to be peak cozy. Think warm colors, crunchy-leaf energy, and a little “lantern-lit side quest” vibe. I’m planning a limited-run autumn-themed shadowbox light box lantern, plus a few seasonal pieces that feel extra cottagecore without being over-the-top.
  • Winter is leaning a little more premium and giftable (with Mr. Grumps supervising, obviously)

The actual goal

I’m not trying to do more.

I’m trying to do what works, sustainably, and keep Upper Room Prints cozy and alive through the whole year.

If you’re the kind of person who likes knowing what’s coming, I hope this helps. And if you’re also trying to build a life that feels more balanced this year, I’m cheering for you from my little desk.

Cozy doesn’t mean small. It means sustainable.

See you next Monday at 10am.
