Post 5: Blogmas 2025: I’m Learning Korean (And Nobody Knows Why)

Why I Started Learning Korean

This year, I started learning Korean. There’s no big reason—not a trip planned, not a business goal, not even a K-drama obsession. I just wanted to.

A Hobby That’s Just for Me

Sometimes it’s nice to have a hobby that doesn’t have to be productive or public. Something that’s just for me. I use free apps, watch YouTube, and make flashcards. Some days I practice for five minutes, some days not at all. There’s no pressure to “get good,” just curiosity.

Embracing the Beginner Mindset

I love being a beginner again. It’s humbling and kind of fun to stumble through new sounds and forget half the words I just learned. Progress is slow, but that’s not the point. The point is that I enjoy it.

Growth Doesn’t Have to Be Productive

Learning Korean shakes up my brain. It reminds me that growth doesn’t have to look like hustle. Not everything needs a “why.” Sometimes it’s enough to do something just because it feels good.

Try Something New

So if you’ve ever wanted to try something random and new, I say go for it. Let it be messy and imperfect. Let it be yours.
